Upon receipt of the application and fee, the MGCB will conduct a background investigation of each applicant and determine whether an occupational license will be issued.
The casino/supplier will have more information regarding application procedures. If you are hired or the casino/supplier company extends you an employment offer, you must complete an occupational license application for submission to the MGCB. The MGCB will not process an occupational license application without a written statement that the casino/supplier has or intends to hire you.
You must first apply to the casino’s or the supplier’s Human Resources Department. Michigan law requires many casino employees and employees of companies that supply goods and services to casinos to be licensed by the MGCB.
